8/5: Streetcars of Western Pennsylvania

The Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor is hosting a talk by Glenn Smeltzer on the West Penn Railways, an interurban streetcar system in Westmoreland and Fayette counties in Pennsylvania. The talk will be at the Lincoln Highway Experience in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 5, at 2:00 PM.

2012 Lincoln Highway Buy-Way: August 9-11

The eighth annual Lincoln Highway Buy-Way takes place from Thursday, August 9 to Saturday, August 11. The yard sales will take place along the Lincoln Highway in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa.

  • At the end of the exit ramp, turn left.
  • Go under the Carquinez Bridge for ½ mile. Judy’s Place is on right.
  • Parking is available along Pomona Street and nearby streets.

Judy’s Place will be closed to the general public during the meeting.

The Clarksville Region Historical Society is holding its sixth annual Clarksville Day this Saturday, May 5, in Clarksville, a ghost town along the Lincoln Highway near El Dorado Hills, California. The Lincoln Highway Association will have an exhibit at the event.
