Irwin, PA streetscape project starts up

A streetscape project to draw people into downtown Irwin, Pennsylvania is moving forward. The project includes three gateway signs will mark roadways that lead to Main Street, including one along the Lincoln Highway. It also includes new crosswalks, bus shelters, planters, lighting and curbs.

2012 LHA Conference in Canton

The Ohio chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association and the Ohio Lincoln Highway Historic Byway will be hosting the 2012 Lincoln Highway Association conference in Canton, Ohio, for a week beginning Monday, June 18.

Lincoln Highway now an official byway in Indiana

The Indiana portion of the Lincoln Highway is now officially part of the Indiana Byway Program. The Indiana Lincoln Highway Association and a new Indiana Lincoln Highway Byway Council will develop a corridor management plan, including guidelines for road signage and the creation of tourism materials to promote the towns and businesses and events held along the route.

DeKalb, IL chicken restaurant clucking for more than 50 years

Lothson’s Karry-Out, which specializes in fried chicken, has been in business in DeKalb, Illinois since 1949. It has been at its current location along the Lincoln Highway since around 1957.
