Rick Sebak’s latest documentary, “A Ride Along the Lincoln Highway,” premiered on PBS on October 29. If you missed it, your local PBS station will probably show it again sometime this weekend — be sure to check your local listings. The ninth annual Calumet Heritage Conference, “Calumet Crossroads: Changes and Challenges in Regional Transportation,” offered lectures, exhibits and networking opportunities at Indiana University Northwest in Gary…. Conference participants took a bus tour along Lincoln Highway on both sides of the Indiana-Illinois state line. Author and historian Cynthia Ogorek accompanied them as she narrated excepts from her book, “The Historic Lincoln Highway Around Chicago.”

Rick Sebak’s latest PBS documentary, “A Ride Along the Lincoln Highway” will debut nationally Oct. 29.

Sebak, of WQED-TV, will host a VIP premiere Oct. 18 at the Sewickley Car Store, which sits along the original route of the Lincoln Highway, the nation’s first coast-to-coast highway.
