The recently formed New Oxford Historical Society lives in a town known for its antiques, and one 10 miles down the Lincoln Highway from one of the nation’s most historic battlefields.

Mark Junge, who rode his bicycle across the country on the Lincoln Highway in 2004, is currently bicycling from San Francisco to Tijuana. He suffers from a lung ailment that forces him to use a portable oxygen system.

The Des Moines Register has a roundup of news on the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) along the Lincoln Highway, including throwing tacks along the course.

Craig Woodward is working on reopening the historic Shady Bend Gas Station, Grocery and Diner as a bar and restaurant.

For the first time, West Virginia will participate in the Lincoln Highway Buy-Way, a yard sale that spans multiple states and hundreds of miles.

Frankfort officials paved the way for more improvements along Lincoln Highway….

The $1.5 million construction project will include left turn lanes at two major intersections with Route 30 - Locust Street and 80th Avenue - with some widening and striping at all four legs of the intersections.
