The recently formed New Oxford Historical Society lives in a town known for its antiques, and one 10 miles down the Lincoln Highway from one of the nation’s most historic battlefields.

I believe that the name of the theater was the Earl Theater and before that, it was called the Crystal Theater. The New Oxford Area Historical Society had a program recently that included some older members of the community that reminisced about life in New Oxford during the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s. The theater was one of the things that came up in coversation. It was great to hear history from those who lived it! I’m sorry I don’t know about the shoe store.
