[Photo of Auburn in the late 1920s or early 1930s]
The Lincoln Highway through Auburn would eventually be named Lincoln Way. This photograph is looking east and was taken near the junction of Lincoln Way and High Street. The style of automobiles in the picture indicate it was taken in the late 1920s or early 1930s, The highway number sign between the two cars at the right reads "US 40" and would indicate that it was taken after 1928.
