July 2001 Chapter News

Mark your calendars!

Our next chapter meeting will be held in the conference room at McClellan Air Museum, 1 PM sharp! If you haven't been there, take I-80 and go north on Watt Ave. in Sacramento. Enter Peacekeeper's Gate, 2 signals, turn right on Dudley Blvd., 1 block to Palm and turn left, you are there!

Our last meeting was well attended, and our own Bill Row showed us beautiful slides of his bicycle trip on the Lincoln Highway. What a marvelous adventure for him and his family., We thank you, Bill, for sharing this trip with us.

Our state director, Carmel Barry-Schweyer, recently resigned because of work overload. Our national president, Jesse Petersen, appointed Norman Root to be our new state director.

At our July meeting, we will have a report from the National Conference at Grand Island, Nebraska; discussion on the Conference for 2002, and show-and-tell items. Bring those along to share with all. We will have refreshments, of course, and time to visit. Hope to see you there.
