Welcome to California! The Lincoln Highway in the Golden State follows a variety of paths. While exploring the highway, you may find yourself on the 1913-27 route through the San Joaquin Valley and the Altamont Pass, or on the 1927-28 route across the Carquinez Strait. The Lincoln Highway guided travelers through both the Donner Pass and Echo Summit in the Sierras. We're confident you'll never run out of adventures or surprises on these routes. The California Chapter offers several tools to help you on your journey. For more information, follow the links listed at the left. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Chapter Meetings

The California Chapter meets four times a year to conduct Chapter business, visit historic sites, cruise sections of the old road, share lunch at an historic eatery, or listen to speakers on highway-related subjects. Our meetings are never boring, and visitors are always welcome.

Tours

Each year, the California Chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association hosts four guided tours, each traveling a different leg of the Lincoln Highway in California. Tour vehicles are provided by the California Chapter, with a driver and knowledgeable tour guide. All tours begin boarding at 8:45 AM and the estimated return time is 6:00 PM. Tour costs are $45 per person.
