Here is a page from the little booklet concerning provisions that should be taken along for the journey. I find it fascinating to see what folks had to bring with them before the advent of plastics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tip-for-motorists.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"406\" height=\"802\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tip-for-motorists.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6633\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tip-for-motorists.png 406w, https:\/\/www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/tip-for-motorists-152x300.png 152w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Love the \u201cgauntlet gloves,\u201d which look so cool. How about the specific brand \u201cIngersoll\u201d watch, and the pair of \u201cyellow\u201d and \u201cwhite goggles\u201d? Don\u2019t forget a package of \u201cbachelor buttons,\u201d which I assume are not the flowers, but replacement buttons?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next paragraph recommends what types of food to pack along including, \u201cSlab Best Bacon,\u201d \u201c10 lbs Potatoes,\u201d and of course, \u201csurgeons plaster\u201d for sealing those tin cans. As mentioned in the pamphlet, these provisions are to be kept with the car at \u201call times, west of Omaha Neb.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is more to the book, which I\u2019ll cover in the next post.
