{"id":6232,"date":"2016-09-20T22:30:26","date_gmt":"2016-09-21T05:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/news\/?p=6232"},"modified":"2016-09-25T20:04:31","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T03:04:31","slug":"dog_valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lincolnhighwayassoc.org\/blog\/2016\/09\/20\/dog_valley\/","title":{"rendered":"Nevada chapter hosts tour of Dog Valley section of LH on 10\/1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"\/nv\/\">Nevada Chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association<\/a> will be having a tour of the original Dog Valley section of the highway (between Verdi, Nevada and Truckee, California) on <strong>Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will meet as a group at the westernmost main parking lot at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Boomtown\/@39.511536,-119.963552,15z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xadfaa3b29aedb07a!8m2!3d39.511536!4d-119.963552\">Boomtown Casino<\/a>, off I-80 Exit 4. Park and meet\u00c2\u00a0at the west end of the lot.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Mooney and Chad Hicks have mapped the tour, with a few stops along the way (including pit stops). Plan on taking around 4 hours for this exciting trip.<\/p>\n<p>Our final destination will include lunch in Truckee at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/village-pizzeria-truckee\">Village Pizzeria<\/a>, which\u00c2\u00a0serves a wide variety of entrees.
