Chester, West Virginia - Worlds Largest teapot (found at exit of the US30 New, Chester WV bridge about 200yrds of the old LH Chester Bridge)
http://chester.lib.wv.us/teapot.html

A visit to Chenney's Gas Station across the street will yield you some post cards!

Orig. Chester, WV Bridge Photo http://www.ovindex.com/history/lh/chesterbridge.jpg
Taken from East Liverpool, Ohio side.

While in the area, see the Lou Holts Hall of
Fame Museum, The Ceramic Museum, The Point Of Beginning, The Wellsville River Museum (has a orig. death mask of Pretty Boy Floyd)
or pick-up some Fiesta-Ware at the HLC Co.

Or visit the Tourism pages of www.ovindex.com for all the stuff within miles of the teapot.

I do not believe newspaper keeps stories online more than 30-90 days.

Dear Russell:
I am back here on your web-list to re-locate an item I remembered seeing on e-bay last year. Thanks very much for providing such a helpful resource.

Hello.

From a long time ago. Being raised in Sparks, I remember the Lincoln Highway left Reno from 4th and came into Sparks along what is now Prater Way. At 15h St. it turned south and went to what is "B" St.

There was on 15th near Prater a
small cement post that had a bronze/copper emblem with a picture of Lincoln and the enscription that this was part of the Lincoln Highway

Long gone now. I looked at it many times. I never thought anyone would think of stealing it.

Times are different for sure.

I was wondering if there were any links to who may have had contracts to build the Lincoln Highway. Per my dad my grandfather built part of the highway. Any help would be appreciated, I have enjoyed looking at this site.
Thanks

I have been consigned a very large collection of Lincoln Highway postcards to sell on eBay. I was going to list them later this week. Was wondering how to get the word out to your members effectively. This is a collection of original postcards, books, etc, dating back to the 1920's. Thanks so much for any assistance you can give me. Angela C

FYI, to anyone who might have been planning to head up to my place after the dedication, I've had to cancel the open house. I'll be home in a "closed house" dealing with a nasty cold. I hope everybody has a great time at the dedication. I regret having to miss it.

Looks like this concept is similar to another online mapping startup called Mapjack.com. I need to find out which of the two is user-friendly when it comes to navigation and quality of special features.
